Welcome
I’d like to share with you a little about my approach to psychotherapy.
I approach psychotherapy flexibly by addressing current symptoms, sources of stress, and experiences in the past, as needed. I am very open with my patients about my understanding of their problems and my recommendations for
treatment. I do my best to present my conceptualization clearly, and I invite feedback. Based on our shared understanding of the problem, I suggest potential interventions and foci for treatment from a
behavioral/cognitive-behavioral perspective for my patients to consider. This collaboration helps to ensure that therapy feels relevant. It acknowledges my respect for the patient and establishes a therapeutic relationship that
fosters self-efficacy. I take pride in working well even with patients who have complex situations and who may not have benefited from previous treatment with other professionals.
